dPublisher offers creators a web-based, no-code, way to create Comic NFTS
The TfC Ramble is a weekly digest of content from the intersection of technology and comics.
NFT Infrastructure
dPublisher
Creators can now publish their digital comics for the dReader platform/app through a simple, no-code web interface. The resulting digital comic NFT will reside on the carbon-neutral Solana blockchain. I plan to record a walk-through in the near future.

Expert level: A Better Web3 Experience: Account Abstraction From Flow (Part 1)
Summary? βWith this approach, users can easily sign up for [blockchain apps] using credentials they are already comfortable with (social logins, email accounts).β I first saw this approach used on the WAX blockchain, and this tech upgrade is a recognition that the vast majority of potential NFT customers are not crypto-natives.

I love the fact that I can separate my substack reading from the avalanche of e-mails in my inboxes. If you havenβt already tried the app, it is magic.
Digital Comics
GlobalComix
GlobalComix recently added a new βConventionsβ feature.
How it works:
Creators RSVP to a curated list of major conventions across North America and the United Kingdom
They receive a banner on their brand page showing the next convention they are attending
The creator and other creators and publishers are featured in curated sections for the conventions theyβre attending.
Writer Accountability
Weβve officially reached the revision stage with the contract for the production of the next issue of The Lump Sum Saga. My out-of-the-box thinking (mainly in terms of workflow) made clarification of a few things important, but it looks like production of Lump Dog will be starting in the not-to-distant future!
What I am watching
Itβs a great time to be a SciFi fan. So much content! Iβm currently enjoying Invasion on Apple TV+. While the Rotten Tomatoes scores have been brutal, I kind of love that from a creatorβs perspective. Itβs gratifying to know that, even if most people hate something youβve created, it is quite likely that not everyone hates it.
What I am playing
Blockchain game Star Atlas1 just released SAGE Labs, and Iβm not going to lie, it is the perfect slow game for this SciFi writer, even though it is technically just a beta test bed for some of the underlying technologies that will end up in the UE 5.0 version of the game. In summary, you command fleets of your starships to move, mine resources, and craft items. It is not uncommon for actions to take several minutes - even hours - to complete, so you can make a move and then set it and forget it while you are working. For a spreadsheet warrior like me, itβs been a blast. Admittedly, this beta release has been buggy, but not unbearably so, and the lack of significant graphics is not an issue for people like me who were raised on text games like Zork! Ha! Itβs been fun putting my ships to work.
π Canβt spell my last name from memory? Seriously, who can?! π
Fortunately, you can now reach this substack via two easier-to-remember domain redirects: techforcomics.com and tech4comics.com.
