All You Need to Know About the DC Migration to Candy Digital
It appears the migration of collections is complete and I was able to verify that it is now possible to read your comics at Candy.com . The marketplace remains closed as of this writing.
Contest Question:
In terms of dollars spent, do you spend more on “floppy” single-issue comics or some other format?
Unsurprisingly, I actually spend most of my comic budget on comic NFTs. But I’m also an unapologetic “trade waiter,” preferring to read full story arcs and collections in a bound book. I also subscribe to Global Comix and the DC and Marvel apps. Ironically, I only recently opened my first-ever pull box at my local comic shop.
How about you? What format(s) get you comic spending dollars?
Leave your answer in the comments below for an extra entry in the 100th post contest.
Writer Accountability
I got word that Sergi (the talented artist I am fortunate enough to have working Lump Dog) had some time and went ahead and created some layouts before I even sent any funds!
Per the item above, I experimented with sending $US to CE Creative Services via the Wise app. The first full payment will go out this coming week if I hear the test amount was successfully deposited stateside.
It was another writing dry-spell week; the priority was putting the house back together for the holidays. Fingers crossed, this coming week will be different.
Personal
Update: The dry storage/bedroom reorg is complete! Many of the collectibles I discovered will likely end up in a section of my online store, tlsscomics.com, and on eBay. Making comic; must pay collaborators.
I went on three shorter journeys outside the house this week. Woot! My LCL knee injury is finally healing. 🎉
What I am reading
I’m still reading the Spawn (Compendium) - page 855 of the 1139 pages.
I picked up the contents of my pull box and immediately handed it over to my wife to put under the Christmas tree. More on what was in this pull in the new year.
What I am watching
I finally got the opportunity to watch this Invincible series “interstitial.” It was fun to get Atom Eve’s backstory.

Just for Fun 😂
Some low-brow humour for you…
I spend more on the collected trades than I do on floppies, for sure. I’ve been buying floppies for a few series I want to read right away such as James Tynion’s Project Blue Book. However, I’m starting to branch out into the digital reading for my mangas mostly. :)
