Happy New Year! Here we go...

Happy New Year all! 

2023 is a huge year in our household as my amazing, hard-working Infection Control Practitioner/nurse wife is planning to retire. She’ll have worked 40 years at the same hospital, and elsewhere before that, so it is time. She’s earned it. Nothing is set in stone, but I need to prepare responsibly for a dramatic drop in disposable household income in October. Without careful planning and execution or a dramatic, unexpected rebound in the stock & crypto markets, this may be the last year I work in comics unless I prove I can do it without losing money. I’ve already discussed how hard that is to do for an independent writer who needs to pay the rest of the creative team, but I’m all in.

What that means for you, dear subscriber, is that posts here are going to be very sporadic - ranging from nothing for weeks to firehose-level overload as I learn new things and pass what I learn along to you. My plan is to focus my online presence here,  on a few key discord servers, bu…
